The principals of Ardent Capital have been lending to Irish property and business borrowers since 2013. Before that, and alongside it, they founded and ran development companies and SME businesses of their own. It means we read a development appraisal with a developer’s eye, and we know the difference between a problem that needs patience and one that needs action.
Ardent is run by its principals. There is no separation between the people you meet and the people who make the decision.
Gerard has been a property developer in Ireland and Poland for over twenty years, handling every stage from site acquisition, planning and construction through to sale. Two decades of negotiating with contractors, purchasers, local authorities and lenders have given him a practical, commercial view of what makes a project work and what puts one at risk.
Since 2013 he has also lent to Irish and Polish property and business borrowers, founding and running a private lending business for over a decade before establishing Ardent. He trained as an engineer and began his career on pharmaceutical, biotech and oil and gas projects in Ireland, Australia and Papua New Guinea. At Ardent he leads origination and credit assessment.
Paweł Boratyn is a senior executive with over 25 years of experience in residential real estate development and investment finance. He has a proven track record in delivering complex development projects and in structuring, sourcing and providing financing for investment opportunities.
Combining strong leadership and managerial expertise with an in-depth understanding of real estate and finance, he has extensive experience in negotiations, strategic decision-making and stakeholder management. His strong communication and interpersonal skills support his ability to build trusted, long-term relationships with business partners and financial institutions.
